Companies like Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Renault, Kia, and Nissan are preparing to introduce new hybrid models in the next few years. The SUV segment may see many big changes in the coming years, and updated features are also expected in the cars coming with new hybrid models. All these cars may be launched in 2026.

1. New Renault Duster

The new version of the Renault Duster is expected to be launched in 2026, in which you will get many engine options like a 1.0-liter turbo petrol, a 1.2-liter turbo petrol mild hybrid engine, and a 1.6-liter hybrid petrol engine. This car will also be available with all-wheel drive.

In its new version, you will also get a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch digital driver display. Apart from this, you will also get a panoramic sunroof and ventilated seats. The starting price of this car is expected to be Rs 10 lakh ex-showroom.

2. New Kia Seltos

Many big changes are expected in the new generation Kia Seltos, such as it having a hybrid petrol engine. Apart from this, there will be many changes in the design of this car as well. The new version of the Kia Seltos can be launched in 2026, whose ex-showroom price is expected to be between Rs 12 lakh and Rs 22 lakh.

3. Nissan Midsize SUV

Nissan may launch two SUVs in India in 2026, one of which will be a five-seater compact SUV and the other will be a 7-seater SUV. Both these SUVs are based on the CMF-B platform. This car will have many features like a touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, and many more. Along with this, this car is also very safe with 6 airbags.

4. Maruti Suzuki Escudo

The Maruti Suzuki Escudo is a mid-size SUV that competes with cars like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. In this car, you are expected to get six airbags, a 360-degree camera, a 9-inch touchscreen, and ventilated seats. This car can be launched in 2026 or at the end of 2025.

In this, you can get a 1.5-liter mild hybrid as well as a 1.5-liter strong hybrid petrol engine. The company has not yet announced when this car will be launched, but it is expected that this car can be launched by the end of 2025 or early 2026 at a price of between Rs 10 and 15 lakh.

5. Mahindra XEV 9e

Mahindra is also expected to launch the Mahindra XEV 9e five-seater electric car by 2026. In this car, you get 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery pack options, with which it can give a range of up to 656 km. Apart from this, features like 7 airbags, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and ADAS are also expected to be available in it.

This car can be launched at an ex-showroom price of Rs 21.90 lakh to Rs 31.25 lakh. In this, you will get 19-inch alloy wheels; apart from this, you will get 663 liters of cloth boot space.

6. Mahindra BE 6 Hybrid

In the Mahindra BE 6 Hybrid, the gasoline engine will be used as a generator, which will extend the range of electric driving. This hybrid car will give you excellent mileage; apart from this, you will also get a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and six speakers. This car comes with a five-star safety rating. Apart from rear-wheel drive, the option of all-wheel drive will also be available in it.

7. New generation Hyundai Creta

The Hyundai Creta is also expected to be launched in 2026 with many changes and new features. This car is likely to come with a hybrid engine option in which you will get tremendous mileage. The new generation Creta can get a refreshed grille, updated bumper, and new Y-shaped alloy wheels. Apart from this, this car will get a dual exhaust finisher and connected LED taillamps.

8. Hyundai Ni1i SUV

The Ni1i SUV is Hyundai’s first petrol-hybrid engine car; it can get a 1.6-liter petrol-hybrid engine, which will give a power of 230 bhp. It will be a seven-seater car that will come with features like Level 2 ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, and ventilated front seats.

It is also expected to have 6 airbags, a rear parking sensor, and a 360-degree camera. This car is placed above the Alcazar and below the Tucson. It will have three rows of seats, which are enough for a large family.

Its updated interior will come with a new dashboard design and a large infotainment screen. This car is expected to be launched by 2027, and its price can be between Rs 10 and 15 lakh.
